Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Locked In mobile application and the website get-lock-in.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Locked In ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Locked In. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@get-lock-in.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Locked In offers subscription plans billed monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($99/year) through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

Free Trial. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.

Refunds. All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat receives purchase tokens from the Apple App Store but does not have access to your payment method details.

4. The Service

Locked In is an app blocking tool designed to help you manage your screen time habits. The Service includes location-based blocking, accountability partner features, and friction-based challenges.

Location Services. The location-based blocking feature requires access to your device's location. You may disable location services at any time through your device settings, though this will disable location-based blocking.

Accountability Partner. The accountability partner feature allows you to designate another person who can approve or deny your requests to unblock apps. You are solely responsible for choosing your accountability partner. We are not responsible for any decisions made by your accountability partner.

No Guarantees. While Locked In is designed to make it significantly harder to access blocked apps, we do not guarantee that the Service is impossible to circumvent. The effectiveness of the Service depends in part on your configuration, your accountability partner, and iOS system-level permissions.

The Locked In name, logo, app design, and all related content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Cancellation of your subscription does not automatically delete your account data; contact us to request data deletion.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
